When Powerball Results Appear in Australia
There is a single national draw, so there is a single set of Powerball results. Australia does not run separate NSW, Victorian or Queensland draws — searching for Powerball results NSW and Powerball results QLD returns the same seven numbers and the same Powerball, because they came out of the same two barrels at the same instant. What genuinely differs between states is the operator behind the counter and the clock on the wall.
The draw is conducted at 6:30pm AWST. On the eastern seaboard that instant is approximately 8:30pm AEST, and the draw is televised on 7TWO with results generally by 9:00pm AEST. In Western Australia the same draw screens at approximately 6:30pm AWST on Channel 7 or 7TWO and streams live on 7plus. Both statements describe one event — Perth simply watches it two hours earlier on the clock than Sydney does.

Why We Do Not Reprint Australian Powerball Results
Every number on this site is traceable to a primary source. For the United States game that source is a public government data feed, refreshed within minutes of each drawing. No equivalent feed is wired in for Australia, so publishing Powerball results here would mean copying them from a third party and hoping. A transposed digit on a results page is not a small error — it is the difference between a reader binning a Division 5 entry and claiming it. So this page publishes none until a verified feed exists, and the code carries a marked adapter seam so the switch is a single function away.
In the meantime the operator that sold your entry is the authority anyway. The Lott covers every state and territory except Western Australia; Lotterywest covers WA. Whichever one printed your docket holds the official record that decides what you are paid, and a retailer can scan the docket for you once the result is loaded.
Turning Powerball Results Into Your Own Division
A row of seven numbers and a Powerball tells you nothing on its own. What you want is the division. Australian Powerball pays nine of them, from 7 winning numbers plus the powerball at 1 in 134,490,400 down to 2 winning numbers plus the powerball at 1 in 65. Take the numbers from the broadcast, paste them into our Australian ticket checker alongside your own line, and it returns the division and its published odds without you having to count anything.
Two things trip people up when reading a result. The first is order: the balls come out in whatever order they come out, and the printed sequence has no meaning — your entry is compared as a set. The second is the Powerball itself. It is drawn from a separate barrel of 20, so it can repeat one of the main numbers, and matching it alone wins nothing. You need at least 2 main numbers beside it before any division opens up.

Checking an Older Draw
Multi-week entries make the newest Powerball results the wrong ones to check against. A four-week entry has four separate results, and only the draw matching the week you are looking at counts.
